An International Career

Md. Tayabul Alam completed his Diploma in Civil Engineering from Polytechnic institute and joined a construction company with a monthly salary of Taka 4,000 in 2006. This salary was not at all sufficient for maintaining his living cost in Dhaka city. His family expected financial support from him. Day by day life was becoming miserable for him. Fortunately, he came to know about the IsDB-BISEW IT Scholarship project from a newspaper advertisement. He was very happy when he was selected for the Architectural and Civil CAD course in Round 6. From day one, Tayabul Alam was very serious in studies in the training programme. He attended his classes regularly and completed all the lessons timely. Tayabul Alam remembers the memory of his training days,” I have learned discipline, sincerity and punctuality from the course”. After successful completion of the course in 2008 a radical change came in his life. He got an overseas employment opportunity.

Currently, Tayabul is working as a civil engineer at Alhatmy Engineering Consultancy LLC in Sultanate of Oman. The ACAD course of IsDB-BISEW IT Scholarship Project helped him secure this job. His present salary is close to BDT. 260,000 per month. Currently, he is staying with his family in the capital city of Oman. Tayabul feels proud to acknowledge the fact that the IsDB-BISEW IT Scholarship Project enabled him to achieve an international professional career. He strongly believes that IsDB-BISEW IT Scholarship Project is producing skilled and qualified IT workforce in Bangladesh.
